Life
Erica grew up in Branson,
MO. Her parents, both now retired, were educators. She
has two sisters who now live in Chicago and Los Angeles.
When she was 19, she
married and in the next few years had two sons, Justin
and Bobby. After 7 years of marriage, Mark passed away
from complications with leukemia.
Dealing with that loss
without a strong spiritual reference proved to be quite
difficult. She began reading books and watching the
Oprah Winfrey Show – both led her down the path of
self-discovery, personal responsibility, and
spirituality. Two
years later, she decided to move from Texas to Colorado.
There was no conscious reason why. Moving to Denver in
1987, however, proved to be one of the most impactful
decisions she had ever made.
Spirituality
Soon after moving, she
attended Mile Hi Church. It was a New Thought church and
was different than anything she had ever experienced.
She took classes, workshops, became a volunteer, and
soon became an official member. In 2004 Erica became a
licensed professional Practitioner of Religious Science.
She sees clients throughout the year assisting them in
revealing their inherent wholeness and living a
spiritually empowered life.
She met and married the
co-minister (now Senior Minister) of Mile Hi Church,
Roger Teel in 1988. He adopted her sons and they have
been true family ever since.
Through her close involvement with the church’s
teachings, she has had the opportunity to meet and work
with some of the foremost leaders in spirituality,
self-development and life enhancement: Wayne Dyer,
Deepak Chopra, His Holiness the Dalai Lama, Michael
Beckwith, Barbara DeAngelis, Jack Canfield, Mary Mannin
Morrissey, Joan Boryensenko, Tom Stone, Alan Arkin and
of course, her beloved, Dr. Roger W. Teel.
Improv
Alan Arkin taught a
weekend improv workshop at Mile Hi in 2005. Having no
idea what improv was about, she signed up. That proved
to be another life-changing event in her life. She
absolutely loved it and felt like she had waited her
whole life for that weekend.
She took classes and
learned more. Impulse Theater was her first class and
performance experience. After taking all the classes
they offered, she took all of the classes at Denver’s
Bovine Metropolis Theater and became a member of the
32nd graduating class. Her class stayed together and
performed in several shows including the Denver Improv
Festival. She now
teaches day-long and weekend workshops especially geared
for those who have never experienced improv before.
WaveMaker™
Erica became aware of the
WaveMaker™ in 2006. The work she did with that incredible
technology along with the Core Dynamics proved to be a
powerful combination. It assisted her in getting to the
core of some unresolved issues and to be able to live
more fully in the present moment.
Erica sees WaveMaker™
clients on a one on one basis. She also teaches classes
for small groups. The intimate setting has proven to be
a safe environment for insights and growth unique to a
group-mind environment.
Life now…
Erica resides in Denver
with Roger her husband of more than 20 years. They have
two dogs that keep them busy. Their sons,
daughters-in-law, and two Granddaughters live in
Colorado. They enjoy golf, tennis, travel, dancing,
theater, movies, comedy, friends, family game nights,
and their long-standing Friday night date nights. |
